We are helping countries plan for tomorrow’s climate.

The Water Resilience Tracker supports governments in creating inclusive, water-centric climate-resilient policies.

As the first consolidated effort to integrate water resilience into national climate planning, the WRT provides tailored policy and technical support. It is currently being implemented in several countries, including Brazil, Egypt, Malawi, and Nepal.

The Water Resilience Tracker team has participated in several UNFCCC COPs as well as Bonn Intersessionals, bringing the Tracker and its findings to an audience of countries and companies alike.

Alok Sharma, COP26 President

“The very fact that water is so fundamental to life means responsibility is split between many different areas of individual governments. Policies can suffer from a lack of integration, and are harder to fund as a result. The Water Tracker seeks to tackle those problems.”

International Policy

Countries around the world are developing climate plans — including Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) — to meet commitments of the Paris Agreement and address climate impacts.

The Tracker is designed to be a practical instrument for aligning national efforts with global climate resilience objectives.

The Tracker has been presented at various international events, including Cairo Water Week and Africa Water Week and UNFCCC COPs.
