Brazil Country Report

The report provides an overview of the Water Resilience Tracker tool, its objectives, and its role in national climate planning. It then presents the eight general and sectoral plans to be analyzed using this tool.

The methodological steps used to analyze the documents are described in the third chapter of this report, and the results of the analyzed documents are detailed in the fourth and fifth chapters.

Through the Water Resilience Tracker we are asking the difficult questions in order to seek real solutions. We are using water as a connector of public policies.

Finally, the report highlights the next steps to be taken in national planning to guide future actions and improvements. The goal is to foster new generations of planning instruments that effectively and integratively address the fundamental interactions between water and climate and their impacts on economic sectors and people’s lives.
